Plans of the Redevelopment
Recognising the building we have does not meet the modern standards
required for our members and the surrounding community,
a redevelopment plan was proposed.

The redevelopment of the building means:
1.The worship area will have some change to the seating arrangements, and at the front with the removal of the current raised platform.
2. The toilet facilities will be improved, providing a disabled toilet and 3 toilets downstairs and 1 upstairs
3. The kitchen will move so that a serving hatch will open onto a room which can be used as a dining area. This will be in the completely new part of the building
4.The stairs leading to the first floor will be changed so they are much less steep
5.The removal of short flights of steps will give uniform floor levels or slopes which will improve wheelchair and disablement access.

Currently planning permission has been obtained for modernisation of the current premises. Fund raising is underway and applications from grant bodies are being submitted. Building work started at the end of February 2011 and have the work completed in August 2011
